AFRICA (Module 1: Addis Ababa, 23 - 30 October 2017 | Module 2: Kampala, 5 - 9 February 2018)

This course gives you practical guidance to develop effective and innovative programs towards ending hunger and poverty - from a rights-based perspective.

- Learn about best practices to improve livelihoods and behaviors of the disadvantaged, and enhance citizen empowerment and governance systems to advance social change

- Design impact-oriented interventions and winning proposals, become proficient in using analysis and planning tools, as well as developing monitoring and evaluation systems

- Reflect on your role as a Civil Society Actor and learn how to support innovation; guide and energize your team and work in high-performing partnerships to reach your targets

Advocacy to End Hunger and Poverty - Empowering people and influencing policy makers

This course has already started:

SOUTH ASIA ( Module 1: New Delhi | 8 - 13 May 2017; Module 2: Bangalore | 31 Jul - 3 Aug 2017)

This course helps you assume an influential advocacy role towards ending hunger and poverty.

- Explore essential advocacy concepts and to tools such as lobbying, media advocacy, people-centred advocacy or evidence-based advocacy

- Design your advocacy campaign through our innovative "canvas methodology" and define partners, key influencers, objectives, key demands, as well as the strategy and activities of your campaign

- Reflect on your role, personally and for your organization

Leadership in Civil Society - How to become an exceptional Civil Society Leader

This course helps you develop and implement a leadership agenda for yourself and your organization.
- Explore history, concepts, and roles of civil society such as advocacy, empowerment, service delivery, social entrepreneurship and innovation
- Embark on an intensive journey to reflect on your leadership skills and attitudes - your organizational leadership, team leadership and self-leadership
- Address important leadership challenges, i.e. improve your communication skills, enhance your team and organizational performance, or redefine key strategies and processes
