The Civil Society Academy (CSA) came to life in 2014. Started as a dynamic and ambitious project of Welthungerhilfe, it is on the way to becoming a driver of collaboration with civil society and people development. It further embraces the philosophy of social business and innovations.
CSA has an international team that is highly motivated and strongly committed to the organization's values: empowerment, social justice, and development.
In the past two years, we have reached out to more than 400 people from 28 different countries through a range of top-quality and affordable courses and trainings. Furthermore, we design and conduct tailor-made training for Civil Society Organizations upon request.
Our vision is a vibrant and diverse civil society, based on active citizenship, leads the way towards a world that is just, inclusive and free of hunger and poverty.
We are central to developing leadership and operational capacities of a global network of civil society actors and Welthungerhilfe to end hunger and poverty.
Our focus is on key concerns and competencies related to civil society:
- Leadership and institutional development of civil society organizations
- Effective programming within the triangle of: Hunger & Poverty - Good Governance - Citizen Empowerment
- Innovations and business models on the intersection of civil society and the private sector
